what does the Bible say about fear

The Bible acknowledges that fear is a natural human emotion. It’s something we all experience at some point in our lives. God promises to walk with us through our fear. To do this, we need to trust in God and focus on His strength and power rather than our own.

So we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?” Hebrews 13:6

Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you. Deuteronomy 31:6
For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline. 2 Timothy 1:7

The Lord is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me? Psalm 118:6

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7

It can be tough to know what to do when we’re feeling scared or worried. But we don’t have to face our fears alone – we can bring them to God in prayer, and He will give us the peace that surpasses understanding.
