K Memory Verse: Hebrews 13:5

Hebrews 13:5 is one for all of us – child or adult. I have one child who’s always had a love for money. I’m sure we can all think of adults who are more motivated by money than anything else.

We’re all probably guilty of this more often than we’d like to admit it.

And while money isn’t bad by any means, it’s always good to be reminded of its limits and that God will take care of us regardless of how much money we have.

Keep your life free from the love of money and be content with what you have because God has said, “Never will I leave you, never will I forsake you.”

You’ll just want to memorize the first part of this song but it should get you going. This tune is catchy enough it won’t take your kids long to memorize the K verse.

Tip of the Week

One way to encourage your children to learn is to take their lead. You may find they like singing or the drawing part the most and get bored when you go over the lesson. Take their lead! Incorporate more of what they like into what they don’t like.

K verse Lesson

I have one child who’s always had a love for money. I’m sure we can all think of adults who are more motivated by money than anything else. We’re all probably guilty of this more often than we’d like to admit it.

And while money isn’t bad by any means, it’s always good to be reminded of its limits and that God will take care of us regardless of how much money we have.

You can either discuss money or the 2nd half of the verse: “Never will I leave you, never will I forsake you.” Here are some questions if you decide to talk about God never leaving us:

  • Where do they think God is.
  • Is He always with them?
  • Do they forget God is with them sometimes?
  • Who else is with them 24/7?
  • Can we talk to God all the time?
  • What does “forsake” mean?
  • Will He ever leave us?
  • No matter what?

These are great conversation starters for older children and even adults. See where the conversation takes you and if your children have questions you can’t answer with the guide of your Bible, be honest and tell them you don’t know. You can write their questions down and ask a pastor.
